On the afternoon of July 29, Prof. Fu Zhuo and Prof. Lu Tiejian—graduate-school supervisors from Central South University—visited HSG to conduct a dedicated inspection of the jointly built “Graduate Joint Training Base.” The session was chaired by Vice President Liu Renzhong and attended by heads of Human Resources, Architecture, and Project Management Office. In a comprehensive report, VP Liu summarized three areas of progress: (1) a review of the milestones achieved in collaborative IT R&D and talent development; (2) an overview of the company’s core fintech portfolio and its overseas expansion; and (3) a forward-looking plan that emphasizes intensified research initiatives and a dual focus on cultivating international interns alongside a global recruitment program.

The expert panel praised the base’s achievements in internships, process management and quality assurance, and proposed two strategic moves: Create a cross-disciplinary talent platform that pools resources from CSU’s faculties of Electronic Information, Computer Science, Business and International Education; Build an international showcase by integrating the university’s global network with the company’s overseas operations and pre-planning a joint training system for international students. Professor Fu Zhuo stressed: “The company’s overseas business has strong potential. By aligning with the Belt and Road talent program of the Faculty of International Education, we can broaden industry–academia collaboration and foster a new global ecosystem of integrated education and enterprise.”

After the meeting, the expert group reviewed the training plan, the records of dual-mentors, and the student’s achievement materials on-site, and conducted a field inspection of the graduate workstations and the operation of the joint laboratories. Both sides reached a consensus: On the basis of consolidating the joint training of graduate students with the School of Electronic Information, they will accelerate the refinement of the connection mechanism with the School of Computer Science, the School of Business, and the International Education College, and focus on deepening the cutting-edge technology cooperation around the research and application of large AI models in financial scenarios, jointly building a benchmark for collaborative innovation between the university and enterprises.
